Elle,
You know my vote. A big fat NO GO! But, what about those who Provigil has made too confused to know it isn't working for them? And I'm not just being funny here. I've seen it happen many times that people who are on it don't seem to associate the problems they are having w/ life w/ side effects caused from the med. Sometimes it takes one close to you to know that you aren't doing as well as you might think you are.I will add that it is the only thing I've tried for N, and based on what I went thru w/ it, I'm not willing to try anything else. So, as much as it may be better than speed, that isn't saying a whole lot.
To me no meds and nap as needed is the way to go for now. I've been up since 4 AM and am still going like I'm normal. (This is a rare day for me to be able to do so.) I've done chores, fixed breakfast and lunch already for the kids I'm babysitting (who are down for their nap right now--w/o me :) I've got laundry a'goin' and it isn't even noon yet. No drugs to do it even. And unlike I was on Provigil, I have had mental clarity all day.
