I know it was Provigil because I have never taken any other meds for N and once I stopped taking it I slowly regained my lost ability over the next several weeks. The impairments were reversible, thank God. No one could ever convince me that it was not the med.

My problems now are not the same as what I experienced on Provigil. Now the stress that followed all the bad things (fired, lawsuit, another job loss, no money to pay the bills, boyfriend bails on me, etc.) has complicated my N enough that I don't know if I can regain who I was before. If I will ever be able to again work a 8-5 job. If I can even work a 3/4 time job w/o being able to nap when needed. I'm meeting w/ Voc Rehab next week to set up a plan for me. I've been approved for their services.

But, all my mental impairments have gone except for when I am really stressed or not getting sleep when I need it.

It is my belief that Provigil only masked my tiredness enough that my body did not get the sleep it needed to restore itself like it had before the med. I was functioning on what I believe was like a massive amount of sleep deficit that just kept building up.
