I mentioned in one of my posts that I take my stimulants about an hour to an hour and a half - actually I am thinking about an hour and a half is better - BEFORE I need to get up and out of bed to wake myself up in the a.m. I have no one to help me. I have turned off alarm clocks without knowing it too -BUT, it works best when I put one across the room from me. Also, I keep a glass of water and my stimulants right next to my bed to take them in the a.m. I was not getting up on time for years before I was diagnosed with IH, but I say it's narcolepsy because my sleep disorders doc. says it's the same thing basically and people think I actually have something wrong with me and recognize it if I say it's narcolepsy...Yeah, it's all so great to have these disorders, huh? Anyway, I hope you can try my method for getting yourself up again...I also find it takes an enormous amount of willpower too, because yeah, I'm STILL tired even on the stimulants, but I have to talk myself out of bed pretty often too..Good luck!
Christine
