Are Dr.'s Aware?

Posted by tiredpilot on September 25, 2002 at 10:51:26:

I recently participated in a sleep study to test for sleep apnea. The results were an overwhelming Negative! The more research that I have done, the more Narcolepsy sounds like me. My doctor is putting off doing an MSLT because she is unfamiliar with the illness and possible methods of treatment. My question is, are most dr's unaware of this illness, or do I just need to find another doc?
