I think there are varying degrees of C, and I've often wondered if I have it as well. I have never fallen down either, but I do get weak sometimes when I'm stressed or tired, especially in my face. I don't really notice it when I'm laughing or angry though. Once my legs almost gave out for some reason while I was crossing the street.

If you haven't been seen by a sleep doc, you might want to see general practitioner who is impartial and explain your symptoms. Don't be afraid to insist on a sleep clinic referral. It seems that most regular doctors have little training/experience in sleep disorders.
