Ritalin = NO side effects in PWN?!!

Posted by Windexgirl on November 21, 2002 at 09:37:13:

Hi guys,

I've been calling around the Michigan/Canada area lately in hopes of finding a decent N/EDS specialist to help me.

The one doctor I spoke with was quite surprised by my reaction to Ritalin. I told him I switched from Provigil and tried 10mg of Ritalin for one week for my EDS. I proceeded to describe that the side effects of nausea, dizziness, turning green(ew!), etc were too much to bear and went back to Provigil the next week.

He said that raised "red flags" i his mind and he always associates Ritalin w/ positively decreasing Narcolepsy's detrimental effects. he said maybe my diagnosis of N, severe EDS, was something more??

What the heck is this all about?
