Sorry to tell you there is mixed news on the progression. Some people get the N. symptoms sudenly, but in most, it sort of creeps in and slowly it gets worse.
The good news is that you learn to deal with it better, and so does your enviroment, which helps a lot.
The better news is it's meant to improve in old age.
