I have a cousin with narcolepsy who is on ritalin. Please take no offense to my questions - none intended. I don't know where to find info and my cousin is seriously offended by any questions. But can ritalin be addictive? He often stays home 1-2 wknds per month to ration the medication or he will run out before month's end. Wouldn't a doctor give him more if he needed it? And he has never tried to leave the house unmedicated. Am I wrong to suspect anything, or is this just really part of the disorder that I don't understand? I feel bad for ignoring it, and I almost feel worse for asking about it because of the negative response I get. If you have any insight I would appreciate a reply post. Many thanks.
