I feel it is rather foolish for your doctor to 'always' associate any drug with any disorder because of the differences of people's chemical makeups. What works really well for one may do nothing at all for the same symptoms in another. So in my opinion your doctor concluding your condition is something more simply because of your reaction to ritalin is rather obtuse and irresponsible. The side effects sound so severe that you may be allergic to the drug. Or maybe it's just your chemistry. Either way I would not lose any sleep (ha ha) over a doctor who is probably just uninformed on the subject. It is quite hard to find a good Pulminologist (sp?) with extensive knowledge of the disorder.
