Posted by Windexgirl on February 06, 2003 at 16:15:06:Hey guys,
Everything's been so busy at school and work lately - I've missed all of you! :)
Anyways I did see a sleep specialist and it looks positive that I'll get to try out Xyrem in a few months! My EDS and N is terrible, there's a little bit of C in the picture too, but not diagnosed w/ C yet.
But my main concern is weight loss on Provigil. I've been on this stoopid drug for 8 months now. I was at 125lbs this summer (the perfect weight for a 5'6" chic, it was great!). Now I do have the metabolism of my father, which is a good thing, I can't get fat. But being 125lbs felt great and took me 21 years of my life to get there :)
Anyways I was just weight last week and i'm back down to a gross, thin 110lbs :( Even guy friends and work people have noticed!!
The Provigil makes me lose my appetite, i constantly snack, but when it comes to big meals I just can't eat them anymore like I used to. I know the hypothalamus regulates sleep and metabolism.... how is it that this stoopid drug is messing it up?
I want my 15lbs back!!!!!!!!
I've joined the gym, so exercise makes me feel better.. I try to eat well, but that's hard when you can't eat b/c the drug makes you not hungry though you really are hungry (get me?)!! you would thing since I sleep all day, I'd get fatter!!!! Nope!
Any other ideas to gain weight? I cant afford to keep losing any more (i can't afford new clothes either!!). I can't wait it out till June-ish when Xyrem will begin (hopefully).....
thanks
