I have done well on Provigil for over a year, until recently because istarted a new job and can't just take a nap as needed etc. I seem to be seeing a lot of people posting about having built up a drug tolerance in just couple weeks time. It's pretty unusual for a person to build up a tolerance that quick. I'm thinking that maybe it has more to do with having gotten the first bit of relief it felt like it was working great at first, but after the initial relief they start to feel the fatigue that is still there. A person doesn't recover from years of fatigue and sleepiness in just a week or so. It takes a while for the body to catch up.

On another note, the effexor actually has a stimulant property and is considered a good med for those who have sleepiness whether they have N or not. Plus it has the added benefit of being a drug that builds up to the consistent working level really quickly compared to others, and a short acting life span that dissipates rather rapidly once the medication is stopped.
