I forgot to mention that, as well as the headaches and loss of appetite, my daytime sleepiness/night time wakefulness were worse on Provigil. Because of other medication which I take (16 different drugs normally plus antibiotics for a chest infection and anti-fungals for oral thrush caused by the antibiotics, at the moment), my consultant will not prescribe anything else for me to try at home. I am waiting for an in-patient appointment so that he can monitor my responses to amphetamines. This seems to make sense, especially as I have a history of odd reactions to drugs. Also, I live alone so taking something new can be quite frightening. My GP and I decided quitwe some time ago now that I never take more than one new drug at a time. This way, we know what is causing any problems!
