It's really dangerous to keep driving if you don't have it under some control. At least enough to give you time to pull off for a nap if need be. I bet you have already mastered napping at the red lights. You really need to get this taken care of. Think of it this way, if you get hurt and end up in the ER it will cost a whole lot of money and with any significant testing it can run up the bill to be about the same as the sleep study would have cost with the added benefit of feeling miserable at the time. If you injure someone else, it is guaranteed to cost more that $5k, with the added benefit of feeling miserable and probably not being able to get anyone to insure your car ever again, or if they die wind up in jail for involuntary manslaughter. Even if none of these scenarios occur, I'm sure your car costs more than $5k to replace after you wrap it around a phone pole.
