I find that my boyfriend thinks he knows everything about N just because of what Ive told him but then he still asks me questions like "are you okay with me? you seem a bit distant" like ugh!!! Of course im a bit distant!
He gets mad at me for being short and snappy when I cant help It, It annoys me cos when he does the same thing Its a different story, he will say "well Im tired, Ive been working all day" Well Im tired Ive been narcoleptic all day!
Dont get me wrong he does try to be supportive but doesnt seem to understand that reading a couple of leaflets and going out with a PWN does not mean he understands.
I would like him to have a look at this forum but he doesnt understand what good It will do I said "If u read about other peoples experiences then U will understand how It effects me more & how It effects our relationship", he replied with Im going out with you not Narcolepsy,
Fine... but I am narcoleptic(GRRRRRR tsk tsk!!)
Can any of you guys think of any reasons I can give, why he should check out the forum or other websites?
Not one member of my family or any boyfriends or friends ever bothered to do anything more than look at a leaflet and that worries me, If thats what people who are close to me are like, Is It surprising that the rest of the world is even less interested?
