Hi!
I'm not sure about it, but my N seemed to get worse more quickly in the last year. At least I have much more REM-symptoms and the cataplexies (not very often and not very severe, but I recognized them for the first time about a year ago). My problem is I cannot remember when my N started at all. About 10 years ago I had sleep attacks for the first time, the years after that increasing day-sleepiness, but with a slow progress. And everything got worse rapidly in the last three years, especially the last year (what finally brought me to diagnostic). I'm on modafinil since september 2002 and had to increase the dosage continously so far, because the effect gets less. And sometimes I had the impression that my symptoms - especially sleep-paralysis, dreams and cataplexies - got worse under modafinil. But on the other hand they already started to get worse before, so probably it's not because of the med. (And I'm still less tired at day with the med than without it...so thanks for it!)
I'm just wondering why things changed so quickly for the last year after a time of slow progress. Sometimes I think there are times of progress and times of steady-state alternating and now I just have a time of change again?

Greetings!
Ciao!
Shadow
