It also help N get better sleep. My doctor did the clinical trials on it so xyrem appears to be good to help Ns sleep better and for cateplsy.

I guess my frustration lies in that I have been struggling coming up on 5 years and since there are many things that can help somewhat with daytime sleepiness/tiredness treatment should be done.

I think the doc thought I wanted it more for weight loss. I explained I loss some weight but now gaining it back but I gained back more than I had before I started dex because I am so sleepy I cannot control my eating and my wife is even worried.
