I can remember having cataplexy when I was 13 and even having problems with EDS in highschool but was able to "deal" with it until my early 30's. Then things got a lot worse and I had to quit working. It's been about the same since then but I've gained 50 pounds and haven't been able to exercise. So I think not being in shape and gaining weight makes things worse for me too. I also have a hard time eating "right" because of the time and effort to prepare and get the right foods. Sometimes I only eat once or twice a day because I'm sleeping so much. I think this effects my metabolism which slows down and burns less calories. So I'm trying to make those things a priority.
