Idiopathic Hypersomnia

Posted by Jennie on August 11, 2003 at 15:30:24:

Well I went to my doctor's appointment today for my results....He showed me the graphs of everything and it looks like I slept ok throughout the night. For my MSLT, I fell asleep in 6 mins the first 2 times, and then 4.5 and 3.5. No REM in any of the naps (which I already knew). So I got the diagnosis of idiopathic hypersomnia, which I figured was what they would say. He did say that there is a possibility that it may develop into narcolepsy at some point. Has anyone had any experience with that?? Additionally, he increased the dosage of Adderall from 20 mg 2 times per day to 20 mg 3 times a day. So....my real question is....do any of you have this diagnosis?? If so how has it affected you and is there much out there on the net on IH??
