IH is the diagnosis when they can't find what is causing the sleepiness. It is not a sleep disorder exactly, just a catch all for when the sleep test and history, etc., show up with nothing and the person is still excessiviny sleepy.

Doesn't mean you don't have something else. Just means they can't find it with the test they have done.

I have never heard of IH developing into N. Either you have N and they missed something or you don't and IH is no predictor.

Do you have any of the other symptoms of N, such as Cataplexy. It is the only true symptom that can make the diagnosis.

Do you ever wake up sweating, or having to use the bathroom several times during the night?
