I am fortunate and if I can drag myself up after a 10-20 min nap I do feel better and more refreshed. It lessens the feeling of "overwhelming daytime sleepiness" for me.
On weekends, I'll take a nap between 11-2 pm depending on my day. And everyday I try and take a nap between 4-5 pm.

Meds, shmeds. Meds don't stop me from sleeping. I take 600 mg of Provigil and I can zonk out with the best of 'em half hour, one hour, 2 hours, etc. after my noon-time pill.
