I am on Provigil. I started off like you; but not for long and it had to be increased. My dosage has been inreased at least 3 times now. I am now taking 3 in the a.m. and 1 in the late afternoon around 3 p.m.. No, this diffinately does not keep me up all night. That morning dose just was not enough for me, It would wear off by the later day.
Good Luck to you, I hope that it does work for you and that you will be able to stay on it for a longer period of time than me. I have been on it for about 11 months and I have a doctors appointment next Tuesday, I think that I am going have to change medications; because my doctor said that the highest dosage for Provigil is 400mg daily and I have already reached that. I was hoping to stay on provigil because there are very few side affects for long term use. If anyone has gone over 400mg. of Provigil I would be glad to hear from you and if it helped you at least for a period of time!
