Originally, Provigil made me so sick to my stomach that it would keep me up all night. The doctors told me that I would build a tolerance to it, and I have. I still have no appetite and a racing heart from it though, but nothing like the ritalin. I prefer the Provigil, because I can still take my naps when I'm on it, where the Ritalin would keep me awake no matter how tired I was and how much I needed sleep. That is torture.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, the Provigil won't keep you up at night after you get used to it. I've been on it for more than a year now, and taking another dose at lunch doesn't affect my sleep at night. I'm also on tranquilizers to get me into a deep sleep at night (NREM 3 and 4). Are you on any? If not, I think it would be worth asking your doctor about it. That way, the Provigil has no chance of keeping you up at night, even if you take it later in the day.
