Self Diagnosis

Posted by plantnerd on January 20, 2004 at 13:33:37:

I hope I don't offend anyone by self-diagnosing, but I think that I may have narcolepsy. Oftentimes, I simply cannot stay awake in the evenings. My wife and I will be sitting watching television or reading, and bam, I am out. No matter how hard I try, I simply cannot stay awake. I will wake up a very short time later, but 1-3 times per week this happens. It doesnt seem to matter what amout of sleep I have gotten the night before, whether it is 6.5 hours or 8 or more. I just thought I would get a bit of your opinions, but may be making an appointment with the doctor soon. I am a 25 year old male, slightly overweight.
