Hypocretin/Orexin

Posted by Sleepy LaBeef on January 21, 2004 at 14:55:51:

I'm new to these boards and am surprised at how little discussion there is about the prospects of a synthesized drug to replace the chemical we all lack.

Is anyone aware of efforts in this direction? I feel this may be the "holy grail" we're all looking for. Have ethical/social concerns derailed this possibility, or is there just a general lack of information in this area? Any information or insights would be much appreciated! Thanks.
