Help me

Hey! I'm 20 and for the first time I fell asleep standing up while taking a shower last night. Afterwards I went to sleep (at 9pm) and vaguely remember some phone conversations. My mom and my boyfriend were really worried and said I should go to the doctor. Especially since I was so hyper all day yesterday. I don't think it's from sleep deprivation either because I'm one of these who gets 7 - 8 hours of sleep. I don't know what this is I just wanted to see if anyone could help me or give advice since this is the first time it's happened. Do I need to go to a doctor or should I see if it happens again? Thank you for any and all information.
