I too had the same problems on ritalin. unconciencous speaking (no one able to understand me at all) and an awake state of not knowing what was happening with my eyes open. I had three car accidents while on ritalin. i also had rage fits while in an awake state and my DR did not understand why I had these. I am now sucessfully treated with Provigil and Vivactil for C. (also have Rem sleep disorder and take another med for it).
