N With children is not unheard of but most people for some reason have there symptons show up in young adulthood. I have seen several cases passed through differant studies of children with N. I have seen a few posts here with children N but I have never actually seen the exact same typical symptoms as PWN. Example I saw one on here who had EDS but no C. Its possible to have one or the other but usually N is only 100% if both symptoms reside. Sleep extensions can come from so many things with children and a MSLT is usually out of the question so you as with the genetics test. Most people ask if they are bored to begin with. I have a friend who has a ADH child who is really overactive but if you can keep him calm for more than a half an hour he falls alseep. Me and him can be bored for the same amount of time and he will fall asleep also its really funny. I have two children myself one is a child who needs no naps daily to make it through the day. She has not had a nap since age 4 (she has her normal days where she will nap if we leave her but normally needs none). My five year old now she requires more naps to keep going. She must goto bed at or before 9PM and then after she gets home from school she naps daily. The 7 year old has not napped since age four and goes to be almost daily from 8-9PM. To vary each of the two is differant also. if we vary the 7 year olds sleep she may require a nap the next day but if we vary the 5 year olds sleep by staying out one night late or at an envent of some sort she still does the same sleep pattern. We had her out late over the holidays she went to sleep at 10PM and we drove home at 11 (only one hour) she would not go to sleep all the way home (three hours) and was up almost exactly the same time daily she normally is. Then ready for a nap like she normally is. Even that evening she would not go to bed any bit earlier even with the 7 year old crashing at 7PM.
