Good call on going to the doc. Mine ran blood test, had me keep a sleep/dream journal and a mood chart to start ruling things out. Other than having wacked out dreams, it just showed a pattern of being tired, wired, tired, wired... I had underlying sleep problems that I wasn't aware of, so that played a huge part. I had someone watch me sleep and even video it! Freaky. (I now also understand the origin of bad hair days - HA!)

Yes - apparently this stuff can happen at any age - contrary to what I thought. All the more important to get to the bottom of it because of all the years ahead! Good luck. I am curious what the doctor has to say. Let me know!
