I'm not an expert on this but I do know that some group policies are set up with a non - coverage benefit clause for pre-existing conditions. It might be for a specified amount of time but eventually they should pay.

Simply stated, you will be covered under the policy but not covered for x amount of time for the pre-existing condition.

Might ask that question with the insurance dept. of the new company you might be going to work for.
