although I agree with pauliD, I have fallen asleep standing up many times, and only awaken when I grab on to someone or something. Definately tell your teachers-I did-it takes some explaining and they usually don't believe you at first so be prepared for all kinds of weird questions. When I began I didn't know any of the other students so one teacher put a student in charge of waking me up. She sat next to me and when I was going she would just gently nudge me. We also sat near the back so other students wouldn't notice so much. 4.0 by the way, not to brag or anything:)
