I have been on Ritalin for 9-10 years, maintaining the same dose - total of 100mg per day. I have had no tolerance build-up. I take it only Monday through Friday when I'm working and take about half a dose on a weekend day if I'm driving anywhere. I feel fortunate to have found something that generally works well for me for the time that I need it. My meds work for approximately 6 to 7 hours. Initially, I would say that the same dosage lasted longer but after all these years, I can't really say that I've built up a tolerance which requires change in dosage or medication.

But as so many on this forum point out, N is different for everyone and the response to the meds which are used to treat it vary widely.

Good luck!
