I don't know a whole heck of a lot about nutrition but I'll share the one tiny tidbit that I do:

Turkey has high concentrations of the amino acid, tryptophan, which is a sedative. It actually used to be sold in pill form for use as a sleep aid but then the only manufacturer (in Japan) produced a tainted batch and it hasn't been legal in the US since. So, avoid turkey during the day but munch away before bedtime.

I think it's interesting that high protein foods weigh you down. I've always heard that protein was energy food (PowerBars and all that) but amino acids (like trytophan) are the building blocks of protein and trytophan is a sedative. Hmmmm.

I've heard fats and carbs will make you sleepy but in my personal experience, I find that ANY food makes me sleepy. I usually don't eat lunch or breakfast and I know it seems backwards, but I'm actually much more alert if I just fast during daylight hours and eat only at night. After I got into a pattern, my body got used to it and I rarely feel hungry during the day.

I also think it's interesting that you're thin. So am I, but I've always read that most PWN are overwieght and many of them obese. Do you have C too? (I do)
