I eat a lot of raw foods such as veggie salads, grapes, bananas, apples, etc. I find if I snack on fruit such as grapes or apples and a few mixed nuts in the morning that I am satified and feel more alert and less likely to hit the vending machines. For lunch I will have a veggi salad filled with lots of my favorite veggies, meat and cheese and fruit such as watermellon. I will also have a roll or crackers w/butter, this keeps me from going into a carb bing and is not enough to cause a carb comma. For dinner most anything goes. I will sleep better if I eat bread before I go to bed.
For me what I eat makes all the difference. I am not heavy, just about 10lbs heavier than I would like to be. However I was always very thin untill I hit over 40. Such is life.
