Muscle and Joint Pains with N?

Posted by user1121 on October 29, 2004 at 21:56:31:

First post backgroud also..

Recently Dx'ed male 20 yrs old. Everything by cataplexy, hopefully it wont develop either. Had REM disturbances as well as no stage 5 sleep and very little stage 4, mslt 3 outta 4 in under 5 mins with sorem.

Very very sore muscles when waking up, almost keeping me in bed.. but it wore off quickly once I got up and out. I've also had periodic joint aching. Wrists, Knees, Ankles, Shoulders/neck/back. Anyways, its not getting any better, and my doctor said he's not familiar with hearing that as a symptom of N. Are there other disorders that commonly coexist with N that deal with joint/muscle pain? Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm starting Xyrem as soon as the paperwork in the mail goes through, right now, all I can say is I hope that fixing my lack of 4/5 stage sleep will help me recover in my sleep and get rid of all of this soreness.

Thanks for your imput-

Andrew
