Hallucinations before going to bed?

Posted by rawgoddess on November 01, 2004 at 13:30:16:

My husband gets hallucinations when he is still awake in the evenings when he is sitting on the couch watching television. This only happens at night. For instance, last night about 10:30 PM he was up by himself watching television when he suddenly saw a man standing by the couch for a few seconds then he disappeared. He got really frightened and came right to bed. He didn't have the sleep paralysis with the hallucintions except when he is already in bed. Is this still characteristic of narcolepsy?
