What is sleep test is on Good Night

This is my husband's fear. He is afraid that he will have a good sleep night during his test and they wont be able to see if he has narcolepsy or not.
Has anyone had a good night's sleep during the test and still get diagnosed?
He has hynagogic hallucinations about weekly, sleep paralysis, sleep attacks and cataplexy. I really hope that his test turns out positive. :) Amy
