Posted by what-am-i on November 29, 2004 at 03:12:49:had sp,hh,nightmares since age 5 and things like cataplexy (always use to shake and still do when angry wich i think is normal? is it normal? is it normal for your knee caps to turn back when you laugh?) but also i have ADHD i am 22 now just landed in the right hands of a sleep lab so far been labeled depressed, junkie, lazy, nuts, faker, epilpetic
I Had a PSG and they said no apnea but signs of narcolepsy on the psg what possible signs could they see from the PSG?
i was fully allert most the night but they told me i slept
i never had the following mslt for some reason they discovered i hadn't stoped some medications that might cause issue's so they said go home go for a med holiday and redo the test!Ok any one else have this?
HH,SP,NIGHTMARES since early age of 5 keeps coming and going in waves have episodes suggestive of cataplexy i guess? I dont know if i have EDS i think my ADHD might be fighting it if i do, i go sleepy during the day for 10-15 minute intervals 3-4 times a day but every one gets that right?
Im really scared my next psg/mslt is gonna say i dont have it and im deemed a liar or insane, i havent been telling some of my doctors things either i mean u cant just tell any one about your experiences some doctors react with a script pad aproach a referal to a shrink or laugh when you speak of your experience's, But i have told them now but they still say even if my story somes up they need the tests
My HLA typing has come back positive?
Also guys i have always and i mean always been able to go into REM within afew mins of sleeping/or sleep onset or things i think that are rem i am able just to close my eyes at nights and start instantly dream i also hear vocies running through my head i have had this for 17 years its made me think im nuts some time, I have studied alot and my case matchs the "text book" diagnosis but im still scared #$@%#@# im gonan fail the test and be deemed insane! even with the doctors saying they have seen things on the psg!
