Yes, disrupted night time sleep is a major part of N. At times you will see it listed right up there w/ cataplexy, HH, and SP. For me it is more of a problem than the other symptoms and definitely makes the EDS worse.

Our sleep/wake mechanism is broken. It kicks in during the day making us feel like we have to sleep and shuts off during the night making us feel like we should be up.

I also have to stay up until at least 11:00 or later because if I went to bed at 10:00, I'd be up at 1:00 AM feeling like it was morning. My night sleep is only about 6-7 hrs on a good night, and I take Benadryl to help me get that. I am not taking any stimulants now, but when I have I had even more trouble staying asleep when I should be.
