I started taking this medication two years ago when I first quit smoking cigarettes. The first day or so, I didn't have any problems with the medication. Over the next couple of weeks though, I lost my appetite (which came back after a couple of weeks). I also started having horrible problems with spaciness. I would be in the car driving, and become completely lost and confused as to where I was or how to get to where I needed to go (I've lived here 20 years). I also became pretty forgetful and just overall spacy. Those problems also disappeared after a couple of weeks. I've continued taking it since then (300mg) and have had no further problems with it. It was increased to 450mg (and I've since learned that it is way to high of a dose) and I pretty much stopped being able to sleep at all no matter how exhausted I was. I know quite a few people who were prescribed this medication for quitting cigarette smoking or for depression. They pretty much had the same initial side effects that went away. One friend did quit taking it after being in a car accident from the spaciness.
Hope this helps!
