I can tell you from my experience with the MSLT that after the full nights sleep, which I fell asleep in 20 mins, I stayed for the 4 naps and fell asleep for all of them. My doc was kinda dissapointed because instead of falling asleep within 8 minutes for each nap, it took me 10 to 15 minutes. I didn't think that was too bad since it was a foreign environment. Just keep in mind that the doctor will take into account that you were in a strange environment. If he/she doesn't then stress it.

For me, the side-effects of Provigil got much much better. There are 4 guys that I work with who use it for shift-work disorder and their side-effects subsided after time also.

I will get a lot of disagreements for saying this but, Provigil works and is a good medicine. However, everyone is different and handles it differently. Being a patient with an affinity to stimulants like Ritalin, Dexedrine, caffeine, and ephedra, I can tell you Provigil is definitely a let down. Having said that, it is a subtle wake promoter. It's not suppose to have affects like the aformentioned drugs unless taken in high dosages. That's what my Doc tells me and he travels nation-wide speaking at physician conferences on Provigil. Does that make what I said more believable, I don't know, you decide.
