N and dexedrine

just a quick ?, I was just diagnosed last week, the neurologist perscribed 5mg dexedrine in the am and 5 at noon, it seems to work but not for very long, I am going in on monday for a follow up, I want to tell him I think I would benefit from a higher dosage but don't want to appear like I am just looking for a buzz, so my ? is "Is this dose accurate for new N patients in any of your opinions
