Bedbug
I'm sure if you read some of the postings you will notice that EDS ranges in severity with narcoleptics. I also agree with Spot and how even if one can force themselfs to move around doesn't really mean that their functioning well or 100% alert. Thats why fatique can be so dangerous. Like Spot I too can force myself to stay awake but its pure suffering somedays if I'm unable to take a nap or two. So its possible for a narcoleptic, depending on the person, to stay awake 8 hours without sleeping. I do it everyday on the job and it ain't fun with or without meds!
I understand that even though your testing is only a month away your anxious to find some answers to what you've been living through for the past ten years.
I noticed that you mentioned something about yawning. It turned a light on in my head after seeing that word written in your posting. I wonder if other narcoleptics are experiencing the same thing as I am when it comes down to yawning. I find that I don't yawn to often even when I'm fatigued. Even when I have those EDS attacks that knock you out cold without warning I don't yawn before such an attack. O.k. I do yawn sometimes but I've just realized that I don't yawn to often like normal people do when they get tired. Whether I yawn or not has to do with what kind of EDS "feeling" I'm experiencing. I'm sure you guys can relate with those different EDS feelings I'm talking about (the different fatigue levels of EDS), but thats a whole other issue.
Have you ever experienced this Bedbug, Spot or anyother person? Those times you fell asleep in odd situations Bedbug did begin to have those yawning warnings that you were tired or did you just fall asleep without any warning? I'd be interested to know what its like for others?
