Dear justlooking,

I was just diagnosed with Narcolepsy in May of this year. The first drug they gave me was Provigil and I felt the same way you do when it supposedly wore off. The thing is though that it really never helped but I always felt my heart rate go up when I was really sleepy and going to bed. I am now trying Ritalin. I have not experienced the increased heart rate yet but its not really working for me either. My thought about the heart rate increase was that I haven't been taking naps and I am so tired that my body is just out of wack, not getting enough oxygen or something.
