Narcolepsy and Exercise

Posted by tedayoungii on July 15, 2005 at 12:23:21:

I restarted body building two weeks ago and I have gotten great relief from my N as a result. I used to Body Build (lifting weights) in college and have been off the weights for about 6 years and was diagnosed with N, was fired from a job for sleeping on the job before I was diagnosed but all I can say is that lifting weights strenuously, like trying to build muscle has helped greatly reduce my number and strength of my sleep attacks during the day at work. I would recommend if you have N you trying lifting weights to see if what has helped me will help you also. Best of Luck, Ted in AL.
