First, I do not believe that God does heal us of everything, but that He can use everything for good to come out of it. I've never prayed to be healed of N and I don't expect to be, even if I had. But I know that God has used it to help me be a better person, to help others, and I do feel blessed by Him every day.

I feel I have a lot of attributes that have come as a result of having N. One is that I am highly empathetic of others, know others well, often how they think and feel. This makes me a good friend and able to support those who are in need. I often feel as though I've lived their lives and can better descern how to help them work out their troubles.

I have higher sensitivities to things, which can be both bad and good. In cooking, it helps me to make wonderful gourmet dishes because I am able to use my creativity and sense of taste to enhance recipes.

I am more sensitive to the world around me, better able to enjoy the good things, no matter how little they may me.

There are more, I'm just not thinking well right now. But don't ever let someone tell you that you have N because you lack faith. God has taught me to have more and more faith thru being disabled by N.

Do not let N become who you are. Sort out what you can that is good about it and focus on those instead of what you've lost because of it. And lean on Christ to help you to be able to live "It is Well with My Soul".
