You might want to check with your doctor about using Dexadrine or Desoxyn. I've been using Dexadrine for about a year and a half now, and it keeps me from dozing off behind the wheel well enough that I finally got my license back :)
I'm still waiting for another sleep test and a check on my spinal fluid to determine if I have N or not, but if you have already been diagnosed and the doctor will verify it then you might be able to use the Americans With Disabilities act to keep them from firing you. Look it up and see if it will work for you.
