do i have narcolepsy?

Posted by dharma on August 08, 2005 at 07:00:45:

Hi, i started thinking i may have narcolepsy. I have temporal epilepsy, have been using trileptal and also prozac for about 3 years. I'm 29 now and since 1 year ago or so, i started having sleeping attacts, which i couldn't stop. One day i couldn't help it and i think it was like fainting rather then sleeping. I remember my sister was shouting at me when she found me sleeping in the office. She later told me that she was so scared because i didn't hear the bell ring, telephone rings and all... Now the same things happening when i'm working in front of the computer and i can hardly resist sleeping. I always tried to fight against it but now i believe it is not something normal, it is a problem. Also i'd like to know if one must have cataplexy if he has narcolepsy?? Because i don't have that.
