Help about getting a sleep study

Posted by tiredandconfused on August 12, 2005 at 12:58:05:

If you read my earlier post you can see my full range of symtoms. Also as I mentioned in that post I have been having an increasingly hard time with my work which in my case is trying earn a Ph.D in biology. My advisor has started to notice my lack of progress and my increasing absences due to me taking frequent naps. My insurance company does not cover a sleep test and my internist has written them asking them to cover it but this is going to take a while. Does anyone know if there are state or federal programs that would help a poor college student get the necessary tests. If my quality of life was not becoming so poor I would wait but at the rate I am doing my work I am going to need to tell my advisor something soon. I have tried caffine to stay awake but that is nolonger working. Thanks for any help.
