Posted by jclx3 on September 15, 2005 at 13:41:59:I know that seems ridiculous but I seem to have sympoms of both. I usually have problems falling and staying alsleep due to stress and just my head spinning from thought, but the patterns are as follows. I can be definetly lethargic during the day, and go through periods where I have difficulty sleeping relsulting in exhaustion. I also have sleep paralysis and have known this for a very long time. My sleep patterns have become almost predictable. When exhausted and trying to sleep I will OFTEN fall into lucid dreams. Im as aware as I am right now. This will bounce back and forth to sleep paralysis starting with warping or electrical sounds 'flying' by me ear. I can hear it. At that point I 'sink', my heart races and I panic but unable to move. I fight myself and try to move but can't as Im sure alot of you have experienced. The strange part is when tired I've developed my own technique for sleep witch is to 'stare' out in the darkness with my eyes closed. Patterns will usually develope until they're full-blown hallucinations. This brings me into the lucid dreams. So am I have narcolepsy? Insomnia? Both? Any advice or similar experiences?
