Huh...I may have just answered my own question...I just looked up the fact sheet on Xyrem and it turns out that it is not recommended for people with high blood pressure because it has high amounts of sodium in it.

I knew this since it is "sodium oxybate" but for some reason I thought that if this was the case...one...anyone of my doctors would have put two and two together by now (I have complained about the bloating quite a bit for quite a while now). Just goes to show...you always have to do your research!

Ok...so my question remains, is there anything that can be done for this? I have to admit I don't know anything about it...is there a way to decrease the water weight?
